Horizon 2020 energy calls for 2016-2017 proposals


EU R&D funding for energy- EU Energy focus newsletterThe 2016-17 Calls for Proposals from Horizon 2020 (H2020) Energy are expected to be launched in late September/early October 2015.
The exact content of the Calls has yet to be finalised but it is expected that the calls will cover the following technology areas:
  • Energy efficiency including heating and cooling, engaging consumers, buildings, industry, products, innovative financing: Indicative budget of €93M
  • Low carbon energy including smart grids, PV, wind, ocean, geothermal, biofuels and CCS: indicative budget of €350M
  • Smart cities and communities: indicative budget of €60M
Two Info days will be held in Brussels on 14-15th September and will be broadcast online and recorded. More information is available here
